What is best bird watching place near Novi / Northville?
I live in Novi, MI and new to bird watching.
What is a best bird watching area within 10 to 15 miles of Novi / Northville, MI?

Try any of the Metroparks. Kensington is the closest to your location that I can remember.
Find out if you can get access to the power plant down there. They have a few ponds that I walk around there. Call American Steamship company and ask them if you can become a “ships visitor” They will give you a pass to come down to the ship and that gives you access to the plant where the coal is delivered. (716) 635-0222. The ships names are the Indiana Harbor, and the Walter J. Mcarthy.
The Huron-Clinton Metroparks have many programs this spring related to bird watching. Kensington Metropark in Milford has Birding for Beginners, Chickadee Chowdown, Planting to Attract Birds, Calling All Owls, Birding the Bluebird Trail, Return of the Ducks and Birding by Ear to name a few. You can also attend Heron Watch on April 4th at the rookery located near their Nature Center inside the park. They also have osprey nests located in the park.
