Tanager - Bird Watching in the desert

Osoyoos area in South Central BC has the only desert region of Canada and that’s where we found these beautiful yellow birds. When we got home from our trip we Googled ‘Birds’ and found out what kind they were. In all my years I never appreciated the variety of colorful song birds that can be seen around us, they were just ‘birds.’

That was great, I’ve never seen that kind of bird before. (a cool shade of yellow, black wings and a orange face, very cute)
