My bird is watching a hunting show?

and it seems like she (my cockatiel) is scared…im not watching it, i hate hunting, but my brother is, well, my bird is on top of the computer facing the tv, and they are hunting geese. She pays attention when they honk, but then when she hears the gunshot, she gets all big eyes

Considence to the sound, or does she actually know whats happening?

She is reacting to the loud sound of the shooting, and possibly the alarm of the geese after the shots are fired.

Different species have different calls for various things that they are trying to communicate to others of their species - alarm, food is available here, territory claims, mating calls, etc. There is evidence that other species understand the basic message behing these calls. So if the geese honk in alarm after the shots are fired, the tiel could be reacting to that as much as to the sound of the gunfire.

But, absolutely, the loud sound of the gunshots would be enough to cause the bird to be startled or afraid.
