Wild Bird Feeders

When we think about birds the images that come to our minds is that of Hummingbirds, Cardinals, Sparrows and other birds that we commonly see in our backyards. The words “wild birds” conjures up images of hawks, eagles, pheasants and other such birds. This is not the case; any bird that is not domestically tamed is a wild bird. All of these birds, while they may not visit our gardens need food in some source or other. For some of these birds we can provide food in Wild Bird Feeders.

As with all bird feeders, wild bird feeders come in many styles and designs. They can be used for different bird types with various seeds. Some wild bird feeders come with devices to repel squirrels thieving from them. There are different companies that specialize in making wild bird feeders and providing accessories for them.

As there is a wide range of feeders for wild birds only a few will be described. One such feeder for wild birds is that of the Triple Divided Wild Bird Feeder. This hopper feeder has 6 large surround perches for birds to eat from whatever feeding station that they desire. The feeder can hold 3 different seed types in separate compartments. The clear panels allow for easy viewing of the seed level within the feeder.

The removable roof top lets you clean the feeder very easily. You can store 11 ½ pounds of seeds like black oil sunflowers, safflowers, peanuts, cracked corn and striped sunflower seeds. The birds that you can expect to come to wild bird feeders include Bluebirds, Titmice and Cardinals as well as Buntings and Woodpeckers.

Made of high quality heavy duty galvanized steel this feeder will provide you with years of bird feeding pleasure. The special domed bottom allows an even level of seed dispensing.

The Adjustable Squirrel Dome over the Seed Bowl Wild Bird Feeder is a squirrel resistant platform and bowl feeder. This feeder holds about 3 quarts of bird food like fruits, cracked corn, mealworms, millet, black sunflower seeds, safflower, peanuts and striped sunflower seeds. Birds like Grosbeaks, Buntings, Redpolls and Siskins will feed here. The adjustable dome acts as a squirrel baffle and you can also adjust its height to restrict the types of bird that can feed at Wild Bird Feeders like this one.

There are 8 feeding ports that allow for a greater amount of birds to eat here in peace. The wild birds can feed either by clinging to the bowl or eating on the platform. The 15 inch domed top gives protection to the seeds from both the weather and squirrels. Made from clear polycarbonate, the UV stabilized dome protects the feeder from the sun’s rays and the durable brass rod is strong enough to hang the feeder without any problems. The hook that’s below the feeder can hold another bird feeder or a suet cake. With Wild Bird Feeders you’ll receive many years of joy watching the wild birds happily feeding.
